ffffffff, it took me so long to finish this. i got bored w/ it and my mom basically had to force me to work on/finish it.

project for Spanish class! c: turned it in this morning, so i dont know how i did. pretty sure i got an A though. the assignment was pretty simple, and i dont see how anyone in class /couldn't/ get an A... except for one guy who used plain pencil on /notebook/ paper 5 minutes before class started. i was laughing so hard on the inside. x'DD

anyway, the point of the assignment was to choose a Spanish artist and make something in/inspired by his or her style. of course i chose Dali b/c he's one of my favorite artists. c: and i've studied him before so i'm fairly familiar w/ his works. but i'm in no way an expert. x'D

wish i made this bigger, but i was worried over having to warp the size when i printed it for the teacher. sdjfnakdfn if it was just a bit bigger, i could've given her an actual face. |8I
and the clouds were pretty rushed, but i was able to fix 'em up in some final touch ups. still not as good as i think i could've made them. OTL

my favorite parts are definitely the waterfall and the swan. c8 i think those turned out real nice. <33

ok, now that my rambling is over i have one thing to say: pleeeaaassse critique me!!
i would appreciate it so much! <33 and if you dont have a premium, just put some stuff in the ACs please. :'D
but please dont say anything on her face and the bird's wings. her face just sucks, and the bird's wings i was basing off the way Dali painted them in Leda Atomica.
and dont go easy on me. seriously. beat me up with words, make me cry. :I

also i'd like to hear your input on the meaning of this. (:
i have my own thoughts about it, but i want to hear from you guys.

art (c) me
most everything based heavily off Salvador Dali's style

I really enjoy this piece. It seems to posses a sort of magical feeling, which for me (being a hard realist) is very hard to achieve, but you seem to have grasped onto that and hold it tightly. Of course there are a few error that I am going to point out, even though you said not to (you said to make you cry, right?) The face is very limited, it is hard for me to see her expression in the painting, so im left hanging, wondering if she is simply happy, or if she seems to be deep in thought, and the clouds seem a tad elementary. It posseses detail, however it still seems to be lacking. The water is very still, and it seems to be nothing but a blue mirror, which is not bad, however it is still lacking realness. The ants are not very well done, nothing but three or four dots. Other than those problems, I really love the piece and I wish I had the talent you have. It really represents Dali's style and I LOVE that. To me this piece (like I said before) is very magical and it seems to be going against reality, with the floating cross and the way the dress turns into droplets of water that seems to float above the water, as if gravity is holding the water away. I personally think that this piece is a stab at reality (Water falling? NO WATER WILL FLOAT!) which actually makes it very enjoyable to me, since I respect the fact that bee's can fly although physics says they should not. Overall, Is very good and it may make a surrealist of me!
